In addition to Diesel and Statham, other cast of “Fast
& Furious 7” include: Luke Evans, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Michelle
Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster. UFC Woman’s Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey
and “Ong Bak” star Tony Jaa will also join the movie helmed by James Wan, who
took over from Justin Lin.
About Paul Walker' death: According to Universal
Pictures, Fast And Furious 7 is about halfway through its production in
Atlanta, and more filming was planned for the Middle East early next year.
Universal executives are currently trying to figure out how best to move
forward (Hollywood Reporter, 12/2013). Screenwriter Chris Morgan has d altered
the script, but it remains unclear how Paul Walker's death will be addressed.
After initial speculation that the character will be "retired" or
killed off, the New York Daily News reported that remaining scenes featuring
Walker will be completed using body doubles and CGI faces.
Additionally, in the days leading up to the event, the
film will release a seven-second, behind-the-scenes video each day, in a
project dubbed “7 Seconds of 7.” In the first video, released on Sunday after
the announcement, viewers get a glimpse of star Paul Walker, who died last
November in a car accident, Diesel and other cast members. James Wan directs
“Furious 7″ from a script by Chris Morgan based on characters by Gary Scott
Thompson. Lucas Black, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese
Gibson, Kurt Russell and Chris “Ludacris” Bridges also star. Diesel, Michael
Fottrell and Neil Moritz produce.
The trailer for Furious 7, the seventh installment in the
long-running, box office-topping Fast & Furious series, has arrived, giving
moviegoers their first look at some of the film's insane stunts as well as the
final big screen appearance of actor Paul Walker, who died in a car crash in
November 2013.
